U.S. Army Major General John C. Harris Jr. has served in the Ohio National Guard for more than 30 years.

The adjutant general is a member of the governor’s cabinet and commands the Ohio Army National Guard, Ohio Air National Guard, and State Defense Force.

The top-ranking general of Ohio’s National Guard will share his insights on leading soldiers and airmen from Kosovo to Columbus.

He will discuss their readiness to serve the public in the devastating wake of hurricanes, during a pandemic, and every day at home and abroad.
