UF Sunshine Socials in Florida

February 23–27  |  Casual Connections. Meaningful Conversations.

UF Sunshine Socials are intentionally designed to be different.

Rather than large receptions or formal programs, these gatherings offer personal opportunities to connect with University leadership, current students, and fellow alumni while we’re in Florida. Whether you join us for a luncheon, stop by briefly to visit, or connect one-on-one, our goal is simple: meaningful conversation and genuine connection.

President Katherine Fell

President Katherine Fell will be traveling with us as part of her farewell year before retiring in June 2026. This is a special opportunity to spend time with President Fell in a relaxed, conversational setting and reflect on the University’s momentum and future.

Meet the UF Students Traveling With Us

We’ll be joined by two outstanding University of Findlay students who represent the impact of a UF education today and where it can lead.

  • Ethan Lantz — Junior biochemistry major conducting cancer research and presenting his work at national and international conferences.
  • Nathan Zuercher — Senior business management student, campus leader, and future sales professional gaining hands-on consulting and leadership experience.

They’ll share their stories, ambitions, and how the University of Findlay has shaped their paths offering you a firsthand look at the next generation of Oilers.

Where We’ll Be

  • Bradenton: February 23–25
  • Naples Luncheon: Tuesday, February 25
  • Fort Lauderdale: February 25–27

Additional details and personal invitations will follow after the New Year. We look forward to connecting with you and sharing a little UF sunshine this February.  Please reach out to the Alumni Office with questions at [email protected] or 419-434-4589.
