
Are you wanting to stay hear about the latest news from the Univeristy of Findlay but haven't been? Our emails might be getting sent to your junk or spam folders. To ensure our emails reach your inbox, add [email protected] to your trusted sender list. Take a minute to check those folders and if you find our emails, mark them as "Not Spam" to redirect them to your inbox in the future.
HOW TO CREATE A TRUSTED SENDER
Gmail
Open the email: Find the email you want to mark as trusted in your Gmail inbox.
Access filter options: Click the three vertical dots (⁝) in the top right corner of the email.
Create a filter:
- Select "Filter messages like this."
- A filter creation form appears, with the sender's email pre-filled.
Add the rule:
- Click "Create filter."
- Check the box for "Never send it to Spam."
Save the filter: Click "Create filter" to apply the changes.
Alternative: Add the sender to your Contacts:
- Hover over the sender's name in the email header.
- Click "Add to Contacts" in the pop-up window.
Outlook/Hotmail
Add to Safe Senders List:
- Open Outlook or Hotmail.
- Go to Settings (gear icon) → View all Outlook settings.
- Navigate to Mail → Junk email.
- Under "Safe senders and domains," click Add, and type the sender's email address.
- Click Save.
Create a Rule:
- Open an email from the sender.
- Click on the three dots (⁝) in the email’s toolbar and choose Create rule.
- Specify conditions like the sender's email address and choose actions (e.g., move to Inbox or Never filter to Junk).
- Save the rule.
Alternative: Add the sender to Contacts:
- Open the email and click the sender’s name in the header.
- Click "Add to Contacts."
